X-rays are a vital part of our treatment, helping us detect and treat most dental conditions. In some cases we need to take regular X-rays during the course of a treatment to help us track and monitor progress.
Our digital radiographs use an electronic sensor to detect the X-rays, rather than film, and the image of your teeth, gums and mouth is captured digitally and stored on computer. This is handy because we can store the pictures and send them electronically, print them if needed and view them on screen.
The really clever bit is that the computer can compare X-rays at different stages and spot changes that might not show in a traditional X-ray. Using this technique, we can identify dental issues at an earlier stage. |
