Jane began her dental career in 1988 at a practice in Cookham,Berkshire after a slight change in direction from veterinary nursing as she rather liked the idea of being able to converse with patients(instead of having one sided conversations with animals!)She gained her certificate in Dental Surgery Assisting in 1989 and worked in several practices until 1992,where upon she moved to London to train to become a dental hygienist at Kings College Dental Hospital.
Qualifying in 1993,she continued to work at King’s as a staff hygientist ,treating mainly patients with dental phobias and also as an occasional tutor hygienist to the dental students,she combined this with working in several private practices in London,until deciding to take a career break and went travelling around Australia for a year.
Upon her return ,Jane went to work for one of the UK’s leading Implant and Cosmetic Dentists at a practice in Windsor,gaining invaluable experience in this field of dentistry which she now puts to good use here at Confidental.
Jane had worked on and off at Confidental over the past 12 years on a part time basis in between being a full time mum to her two children Milly and Joseph but has now been with us full time since 2005.She enjoys being back at work and interacting with people of all ages and has a particular interest in working with those who are dental phobic in helping them to over come their fears.
Jane thoroughly enjoys working with the very dedicated and committed staff here at Confidental and with various new projects in the pipeline it’s a very exciting time,she looks forward to welcoming you to the pratice very soon.
