Matt Golightly BDS (Lon) It seems fitting that Matt, the other half of Confidental’s dentist duo, qualified from King’s College London, lending a certain royal symmetry to the team. He then stayed on there as a House Officer (and don’t read this as “Household Guard Officer” – Matt only works with humans, well at least most of the time). His next rung on the dental ladder was at St Georges, where he became highly experienced in sedation techniques, and built on his core skills in oral surgery and reconstructions. Matt was lured into (some might say was conned into) joining Confidental in 1997, since when he has undergone the world renowned Diploma in Implant Dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons. Fortunately for his patients, Matt has taken a particular interest in sedation techniques, treating nervous patients and those with dental phobias; and he plans to extend his expertise with further training in Sedation and Hypnosis for Dentistry. He has also introduced an extensive range of implant options to Confidental, from single tooth restorations to much more complex procedures. Matt is married to Jane, who is our clinical manager. They have two children, Milly and Joseph. After a hard week’s implanting and restoring in the practice, Matt likes to relax at 120mph on his motorbike, which he races at club level under the Confidental banner, but has yet to introduce it as a relaxation technique for his patients. |
