Think of the EMS like a pressure washer. We use specially formulated powders that remove stain and eliminate bacterial plaque biofilm. This pain-free, non-invasive treatment is recognised as one of the most efficient methods of tooth cleaning and combating staining.

Is airflow treatment painful?

 Airflow Tooth Polishing is completely painless. Some methods, like scaling and polishing are abrasive and can be quite uncomfortable. Fortunately, there are better and milder alternatives for cleaning and polishing treatments for your teeth.

 

How often should you have airflow?

For most patients twice a year is recommend (every 6 months). This can be increased to 4 times a year or 6 times a year depending on the overall condition of your mouth, your general health and if there is a family history of gum disease

 

What are the disadvantages of airflow?

  • Sometimes there can be a powdery taste during the appointment
  • Sometimes the powder tickles
  • There can be a water spray whilst working
