This dedicated session allows us to regularly practice, refresh, and refine our skills so we are fully prepared to respond calmly and effectively to any medical emergency.
Our training covered the recognition and management of a wide range of medical situations, from asthma attacks to cardiac emergencies, including the use of our on-site defibrillator. We also ensure the safe use of oxygen, with additional oxygen cylinders available within the practice for added reassurance. Later this year, selected team members will undertake further intermediate training to support the provision of IV sedation, ensuring this care is delivered safely and to the highest clinical standards.
In addition to this annual training, our team completes regular updates in basic life support, CPR, defibrillation, fire safety, and cross-infection control. We also rehearse emergency scenarios during our monthly team meetings, so everyone remains confident in their role should an unexpected situation arise.
