What is Invisalign treatment?
Invisalign treatment is a very aesthetic, minimally invasive and highly effective way to straighten your teeth and achieve a smile to be proud of. The system uses a series of nearly invisible removable aligners that are custom-made specifically for your teeth and can’t be seen when worn, a world away from the traditional metal alternative.
All you need to do is wear your teeth aligners for 22 hours per day, allowing gentle forces to gradually move the positions of your teeth. Clear and comfortable Invisalign treatment won’t interfere with your diet or life, as you can remove your aligners for eating, drinking, and brushing your teeth. Invisalign clear braces won’t just straighten your teeth, they can also improve your overall oral health at the same time!
Our finance options, arranged via Chrysalis, can give you the chance to spread the cost of your Invisalign treatment over monthly payments, subject to status. Please get in touch with our friendly team for more information.
Dr Vishal Mohal has a special interest in cosmetic orthodontics, and is certified in using clear aligners to achieve exceptional results for his patients.

Your Invisalign treatment journey begins with a free smile assessment with our treatment co-ordinator, where you can discover how Invisalign treatment could work for you. We ask your ideal outcome and explain how the teeth straightening treatment works. We also give you an idea of timescales and costs.
Step 2: Smile visualisation
The next step is to show you how your smile could look after Invisalign treatment. We use our state-of-the-art iTero scanner to create a highly accurate image, giving a preview of your new straight smile! If you are happy to continue, we re-check your suitability for treatment and create your personalised digital treatment plan.
Step 3: Custom aligners
Your clear aligners are created by skilled Invisalign technicians according to your exact specifications, using detailed images and your 3D scan. When they are ready, we show you how to fit the first set safely and give you some tips and advice for treatment. It is then over to you!
Step 4: Straightening & results!
You simply need to wear each set of aligners for around a week before moving to the next set. During your treatment, we see you for regular appointments to check everything is progressing as planned and on track for an incredible result. At the end of treatment, we make sure you are delighted with your smile and give you a custom retainer to keep your teeth in their new straight positions.
Invisalign treatment can dramatically enhance the appearance of your smile and significantly improve your quality of life. Straighter teeth can give you a confidence boost and help you feel able to smile in public with ease. Invisalign clear aligners provide a comfortable orthodontic treatment giving exceptional results. Millions of patients worldwide have benefitted from invisible braces - you will find it is worth it!
The cost of Invisalign treatment is dependent on the complexity of your teeth straightening case. Straightforward cases don’t need as many aligners, so the cost is generally lower. As a guide, at our practice in Sandford, Invisalign clear aligners cost from £1,937. We give you an exact quote after your initial consultation, and also offer finance options to help you spread the cost (subject to status)*.
Yes, it is important that you keep your teeth aligners in your mouth overnight to avoid any disruptions to your Invisalign treatment. Wear your clear aligners for 22 hours each day, removing them only to eat, drink, and brush your teeth as normal.
Invisalign treatment is not painful. The clear aligners are designed and made with comfort in mind, so it’s easy to wear them all day and night. They fit snugly over your teeth and contain no metal or wires that can irritate your mouth.
Dentists and orthodontists have used removable aligners successfully for years. However, with the application of 3D computer technology and customised aligners, Invisalign treatment is a very popular choice, able to be used to treat a wide range of patients who want straighter teeth. Also, unique ClinCheck software allows you to see your treatment plan and a preview of your new smile before treatment even begins.
The key benefits of Invisalign treatment lie in its comfort, convenience, and highly aesthetic nature. The aligners are nearly invisible, so other people are likely not to notice them. You also have the flexibility to eat and drink whatever you want during treatment, and can stay in control of your oral health by brushing and flossing as normal.
Invisalign treatment can be successfully used to treat malocclusion (teeth that are not properly aligned) for the majority of adults and teenagers. We can use Invisalign Teen clear aligners for our younger patients, a very good option tailored to their developing teeth.
The duration of Invisalign treatment depends on the complexity of your case and how far your teeth have to move. Typically, treatment lasts between 3 and 18 months, although more complex cases will likely take longer. Your dentist will give you more detailed and tailored information at your consultation.
